Meet the Team
2021 marks 25 years in the industry for me as well as it being Katwalk Inks 7th birthday.
I couldn’t be prouder of what I have created, and the studio goes from strength to strength with every year that passes.
With a little vision and a lot of hard work I created my dream of a studio that not only produces outstanding art but a place that is renowned for having an amazing atmosphere too.
I always envisaged a studio that had more to offer than the norm, who’s artists are passionate about every piece of work, whether on skin or canvas, at Katwalk Ink we’ve achieved that.
On a final note, my amazing team and I would like to welcome you to our studio.
Hi I'm Dean
I've lived in the Birmingham area for over ten years and be tattooing for that time period too in a few studios now, settling at Katwalk Ink for the past six years; how time flies!
I would say I work best with people that have an idea on what they want the piece to look like & how they want it to fit their body to achieve an original and organic design.
I take cultural influences from everyday things & from what people I've tattooed bring back to me with what their stories and implications in this world brings to use in my designs.
Tattooing/getting tattooed is a very personal thing, it is telling your story not someone else's.
If you would like to get a piecing done by myself drop me an email…
First of all, I’d like to say thank you for visiting my bio so let me tell you about myself;
I’m Glyn and I first got into tattooing in 2015 where I managed to secure myself an apprenticeship, learning the ropes and getting to grips with all things tattoo related.
I am a qualified graphic designer by trade and studied art at Walsall Collage of Art and Design,
which is where my passion for all things art started. As my college course came to an end I had to make a decision of what I wanted to do with my new found qualifications.
Most people leaving college would obviously want to get into the field that they qualified in, but this was not the case for me, and I settled into full time work and my art went on the back burner. So back to 2015 when undergoing my apprenticeship, I learned all styles of tattooing but soon realised my passion was in realism. When you speak of realism in the tattooing world you should know you have a hard task ahead of you, so I got my head down and started to learn all about the realism style and how it works. I consider myself a realism artist and my reputation speaks for itself, I have clients that travel far and wide to get a tattoo from me.
Realism is my most preferred style, but I’ve been known to, and also have a good reputation for my Disney tattoos, I would like to think of myself as an all-round Tattooist and happy to tattoo most styles.
Thanks for reading.
apprentice TATTOO ARTIST
Hi, I’m Leah, I’ve been lucky enough to get an apprenticeship here at Katwalk Ink, putting me on the road to my dream of being a Tattoo Artist.
I’ve always been artistic and knew that I wanted to pursue a career in the creative industry from a young age, it wasn’t until I was 16 that I realised that I wanted to focus on getting a job in the tattoo industry more specifically.
My drawing style is mainly a mixture of dot-work and line work, but I feel that I can adapt to most other styles. I’m so excited to start my dream career!
